  • Golf Coaching Grants in Essex

A grant of £200.00 is being offered to affiliated golf clubs in Essex to assist in attracting more golfers through taster sessions.

In the 2004 and 2006 EGU/ELGA Golf Club Membership Questionnaires, it was identified that 89% of golf clubs have membership vacancies.  By offering taster sessions to beginners, golf clubs are creating opportunities for people to get into golf and into golf club membership.

To apply

  • Read through the enclosed criteria
  • Decide on the date/s when your golf club will be able to hold taster sessions and whether these will be targeted sessions (ladies, juniors etc)
  • Go to the EGU website at www.englishgolfunion.org/showpage.asp?code=00010001000100200001 and follow the instructions there for registration.

To claim the grant

The grant can be claimed following completion of all the coaching sessions
Details of the sessions and the participants need to be recorded on the registration booklet and returned to EGU Development Team.
